$5 vaccinations for first 200 pets

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - If your pet still needs it's vaccinations, but you're not sure you can afford it, here's your chance.

The Montgomery County Animal Resource Center is hosting a second vaccination clinic on Sun., Jan. 29.

In an effort to keep pets in their homes and out of shelters, the ASPCA has awarded the Animal Resource Center $5,000 for the vaccination of cats and dogs whose owners cannot afford yearly routine vaccinations.

The event will be held at the Animal Resource Center located at 6790 Webster St. Dayton, OH 45414 from 1:30 p.m. ? 3:30 p.m.

Families with pets in need of routine vaccinations must show proof of public assistance or unemployment.

The co-pay is $5 for one animal and $10 (total) for up to 5 animals.

Vaccinations are available for 200 animals so pet owners are encouraged to reserve a spot by contacting the Animal Resource Center. You can do so by calling (937) 898-4457 or e-mailing AnimalShelter@mcohio.org.
