On Saturday May 12, 2012 over 100 underserved families across the Buckeye community received gardens, tools, guides, and recipe books as apart of the Buckeye Family Garden Initiative.??
The Buckeye Family Garden Initiative is titled Simply Home Gardening Community Initiative and is being led by the Buckeye Area Development CORP?www.badoc.org??. Radiah of the BADOC says, the initiative is ?Bringing backyard gardening Back? to Buckeye.
Alongside BADOC were many community partners including leadership provided by Vadette from Metrohealth. The Cleveland Green Corps did a phenomenal job distributing gardens to family as well as a volunteer team that came all the way from Pittsburgh. Other partners included the Cleveland Food Bank?and the Famicos Foundation and many more.
